AnouskaKnits Technique Videos

Here are a few quick videos of special or uncommon techniques used in my patterns with the hope that you can achieve beautiful knits every time!

Cable with a Yarn Over

Used to loosen and balance out the tension disparity created when working cables.

Knit the first half of the stitches for the cable, and then wrap the yarn under and around the righthand needle creating a new stitch. Knit the other half of the stitches from the lefthand needle. On the wrong side, purl until you reach the yarn over (appears as an extra stitch on the lefthand needle) drop it off the needle and continue purling as normal.

Non-Rolling Edge

Used to create a decorative edge that prevents stockinette stitch from rolling up.
